The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Vice Presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, has thanked the Almighty God for allowing Nigeria to survive despite great odds.
In his 59th Independence anniversary message, Obi also said that the event was another opportunity for Nigerians to reflect on “why the country is going through tough times.”
He said that it was sad for Nigeria to be lagging behind in all indices of development as if the rest of the world have left it behind.
He therefore called on Nigerians to take the opportunity and think positively about their country and how to set it on its feet again.
