Ighalo boasts he’ll score more goals if Messi joins Al-Hilal 

Ighalo who currently plays for the Saudi Arabian club, also claimed that if the Qatar 2022 World Cup winner joins him, he’ll make him a better player

Former Manchester United forward, Odion Ighalo, has claimed he will score more goals if Paris Saint-Germain striker and World Cup winner, Lionel Messi joins his Saudi Pro League club. 

Ighalo, who currently plays for Al-Hilal, expressed desire to play alongside the Argentina captain, saying it would be a dream come true for him. 

The Nigerian striker went on to say the former Barcelona attacker and seven-time Ballon d’Or winner will also make him a better player.

Messi has been linked with a move away from French giant, PSG when his contract expires at the end of this season.

The 35-year-old has been linked with two top Saudi Arabian clubs, Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad. 

Orion Ighalo while speaking with Sky Sports on the possibility of Messi joining him said: “Of course, Messi is welcome here. It is the beautiful dream of every player in the world to play with Messi. He is one of the best on the planet,” 

“His presence will make me a better player and score many more goals for Al Hilal. He’ll help us win more trophies and develop the game in this country.”
