Igbokwe, former Lagos APC spokesperson, says the UNILORIN student who attacked his lecturer, should never be allowed into any Nigerian university again

Spokesperson of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Lagos State chapter, Joe Igbokwe, has suggested that the student of the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN), who attacked his lecturer, should never be allowed into Nigerian Universities again.
Salaudeen Waliu Aanuoluwa, a 400 level student of the Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Life Sciences, UNILORIN, reportedly attacked his lecturer, Mrs Rahmat Zakariya, and beat her into a coma.
He attacked her for turning down his request to cover up his decision not to observe the compulsory Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES).

In a statement by the Director of Corporate Affairs, Mr. Kunle Akogun, the expulsion of the student was handed down by the Student Disciplinary Committee when he was arraigned on Monday.
The student who was given 48 days to appeal against the verdict to the university’s senate has since been handed over to the police for further necessary action.
Reacting to the report on social media, Joe Igbokwe suggested that no University in Nigeria should admit the former student of UNILORIN again.
He also described him as a loose cannon, whose time at the University of Ilorin should be considered wasted.
“I suggest that no University in Nigeria should give him admission again. His years at the University of Ilorin should be considered wasted and lost. The young man has no home training and he is a loose canon”. Igbokwe posted.
Joe Igbokwe is a Nigerian politician and engineer who is currently serving as Special Adviser for Drainage & Water Resources to Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
