The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), has praised the late former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Lamorde for his contributions to the fight against corruption.
The anti-graft agency made this known in a statement signed by its chairman, Dr. Musa Adamu Aliyu (SAN), where it described the late retired Deputy Inspector General of Police as a beacon of dedication and inspiration to many.
It also recalled that during Lamorde’s lifetime, he made significant contributions to the nation, tirelessly working to uphold justice and ensure accountability.
ICPC went on to pray for the strength to bear the “irreparable loss” for its sister agency, EFCC and the family Lamorde left behind.

“During this difficult time, the Commission sends its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and the EFCC.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with his immediate family, as we hope that they find solace in the memories of late Lamorde’s life and the positive impact he had on so many people in the course of his national assignment as a police officer and an operative of the EFCC.
“May they also find comfort in the love and support of those around them.
“Lastly, it is our prayers at the ICPC that the Almighty Allah gives the EFCC and the deceased’s immediate family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.”
