Ololade Gbolahan, popularly known as Kayvee, and one of the housemates of Big Brother Nigeria season 6″ Shine Ya Eye ” edition, has disclosed that he was raised by a single mother. He acknowledged, though, that his dad checked up on them once in a while.
He revealed this as a guest on a radio programe on Classic FM. When he was asked if his parents knew about his participation in the TV reality show, BBNaija, he said he only told his mother about it because they are close and live in the same house.
He said his mother was not initially comfortable with the idea because of her religious inclination, but gave her blessing nevertheless.
When asked if she was worried when he broke down in the house, he answered in the affirmative, but said she was one of those who helped him to heal on time.
Fans of BBNaija will remember that Kayvee, voluntarily left the Big Brother house due to matters relating to his mental health, and the organizers of the show, his fellow housemates and fans, played prominent roles in his recovery.
He told the anchor of the show that the love he received from his fans, in particular, and Nigerians, generally, played a role in his recovery and urged anyone struggling with mental health issues to make sure he or she speaks with someone immediately and seek help from the appropriate quarters.
Despite not staying in the house for a long time, he will be remembered for his role in the break up of the relationship between Sammie and Angel, which incidentally was the first romantic relationship to be formed in the house and first to break up.
Kayvee told the host of the radio show that he has since moved on and now dedicating his time to his passion, which is photography and cinematography.
He said he is interested in all shades of photography, but more devoted to making documentaries.
Just like other housemates who have exited the show, Kaycee is now making media rounds and granting interviews after effectively dealing with his mental health issues and Nigerians are likely to see his creativity in coming days.
