‘I hope all is well with him,’ Atiku worries as Tinubu falls on Democracy Day

By Ishaya Ibrahim

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has said he simpathises with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over his fall while climbing a vehicle to inspect a parade on Democracy Day.

Tinubu slipped and fell before his security details reached out to lift him up from the floor of the vehicle.

A video clip of the fall showed that the president fell very hard after tripping.

Although Tinubu was able to recover and continue with the inspection of the parade, the fall took the shine off other activities of the Democracy Day event.

Hours after the fall, Atiku who was the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the 2023 election and a major opponent of the president, posted via his X handle @atiku that he sincerely simpathises with the president.
