I have not left the PDP, Femi Fani Kayode contradicts Yahaya Bello

Femi Fani-Kayode

A former minister of aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has contradicted the governor of Kogi state, Yahaya Bello, who announced that he has left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Yahaya Bello announced that Fani Kayode has formally joined the APC during an interview with journalists.

But Fani-Kayode reacted almost immediately that although consultations are still ongoing, he has not left the APC.

He said: “Though we have had meetings across party lines and we are in a season of political consultation I have not left the PDP.”

But many Nigerians who reacted to Fani-Kayode’s terse statement, refused to accept his claim of still being a member of the PDP.

@Abiola47257622 replied Fani-Kayode: “Bros, check your Account APC don make the payment.”

@VirginMan13 simply reminded Fani-Kayode his words by referencing an old tweet Fani-Kayode made against joining the APC.

@jarushub tweeted, quoting what Fani-Kayode would have said if his APC move was not true. “The vintage FFK would have replied like – “Some uncircumcised children of Danfodio have accused me of joining the evil Islamic brotherhood party called APC. The lord I serve will never allow such aberration to happen. I will never join the political wing of Fulani herdsmen”
