Big Brother Nigeria season 6 star and mother of one, Tega, has revealed that her husband’s decision to cheat on her, made her participate in this season’s BBNaija “Shine ya Eye” edition.
She made the revelation during an interview with a journalist, Chude Jideonwo, shortly before she deactivated her Instagram account.
According to the 29-year-old, she was aware her husband was cheating, but never expected that he would bring a woman to their matrimonial home.
She said she learned about the affair from her neighbor. She was particularly pained that her husband was not remorseful when she confronted him, and that made her decide to participate in the TV reality show.
“I relate with the guys in my street a lot. So, I called one of them and I also did some FBI stuff. And then, he came up with ‘Okay, he’s always bringing this babe to the house.’
“My sister was at home, my kid was at home, your brother was at home, and you brought this girl to the house. That was the height of disrespect for me. It was not like I didn’t know he was doing stuff outside. But then, bringing this girl home was just it for me.
“Then we talked about it and he was so defensive broke me was that he said, ‘You went to Lagos to be with a man, that’s why I did all of this.’
“When Big Brother came, I was like, ‘Okay, this is going to fly’. And then my mum spoke to me that I should not do it but I spoke to him and told him, this is what I wanted to do.” She said.
Recall Tega who was a married housemate was romantically entangled with a male ex-housemate, Boma, and their indiscretion was widely criticized. They have however apologized and asked for the forgiveness of their family, fans, and Nigerias as a whole.
