HTC is set to launch it’s ‘flagship smartphone’, the U12/U12+, May 23, according to TechCrunch.

The company said this via their twitter handle.

“Coming soon. A phone that is more than the sum of its specs,” the company said.

Leaks reveal a dual-camera setup on the reverse of the phone, with a Snapdragon 845 chipset, 6GB of RAM and either 64GB or 128GB of internal storage under the hood.

According to analysts, HTC is in dire need of this phone to bounce back.

In its recent results for Q4 of 2017, the company posted a loss of $337 million from total sales of $540 million.

HTC got a cash boost of $1.1 billion deal from Google to sell some of its techs and talents to the tech giant but was not reflected in the results.

HTC is putting the money to use for “greater investment in emerging technologies” that is said, “would be vital to all our businesses and present significant long-term growth opportunities”.

HTC has been struggling in the smartphone market.
