A pastor in Ajpajo community, Eleme local government area of Rivers State, narrowly survived being decapitated by suspected Fulani herdsmen on August 2, according to eyewitnesses.
The pastor, Daniel Destiny, was attacked by the suspected herdsmen at Akpajo junction on Monday evening, August 2, but survived the attack after the assailants feared they could be caught.

The attackers, it was gathered, made attempt to slit his throat but abandoned the effort after they were spooked by the sight of other people.
The victim is now in a hospital in the state receiving treatments from wounds he sustained during the attack.
