Algeria has defeated Senegal 1-0 to win this year’s African Nations Cup (AFCON) in the final played in Cairo, Egypt.
Algerian Foxes scored in the second minute of the game, which was characterized by hard tackles.
The final of the tournament, played on Friday, July 19, 2019, attracted more fans from Algeria.
It would be recalled that Algeria won the competition 29 years ago in Algeirs, while Senegal is yet to win it.
Nigerian Super Eagles striker, Jude Odion Ighalo, emerged the tournament’s highest scorer with five goals thereby winning the Golden Booth.
