Hotelier abducted in Ogbomosho days after Alao-Akala farm supervisor kidnap

The hotelier was abducrted nearly two weeks after a supervisor at the late Governor Alao-Akala’s farm, was kidnapped.

Unidentified gunmen have abducted a hotelier and his employee in Ogbomosho area of Oyo State.

The hotelier had just returned to Ogbomoso from a trip before he was abducted alongside his employee on Thursday.

According to NAN, they were abducted at Aba area of Ogbomoso.

The gunmen, about 10 of them, fired gunshots to scare the public and thereafter took their victims to an unknown destination.

The Police Public Relations Officer in Oyo State, SP Adewale Osifeso, confirmed the incident, adding that the police had already begun investigation.

“Investigation has commenced. You would be provided updates accordingly,” he told NAN.

This is coming nearly two weeks after Christopher Bakare, a supervisor at the late Governor Adebayo Alao-Akala’s farm, was kidnapped.

Mr Bakare, who is an indigene of Gbongan in Ayedaade Local Government Area of Osun State, was taken captive on July 16 at Jabata in Surulere Local Government Area of Oyo State.

The supervisor was released after the payment of N5 million as ransom. His abductors initially placed N100 million ransom on him. After four days of negotiations, they settled for N5million.

A private hospital proprietor, Baba Rasheed, was abducted on July 22 in the same area.

Rasheed was also released after the payment of ransom.
