There is hope in sight for Nollywood actor and Tinsel Star, Victor Olaotan, who is seeking medical treatment abroad.

Victor Olaotan was involved in a ghastly car crash in 2016 along the Lagos/Ibadan Expressway which cost him the use of both legs

According to fellow actor, Richard Mofe Damijo, he approached the billionaire businessman, Otedola to help offset Olaotan’s hospital bill and Otedola got back to him to say he would pay the bill in full.

“So a few days ago, I reached out to @femiotedola asking for help for my friend and brother and just this morning, Femi calls to tell me he would take care of ALL of Victor’s bills. He told me that he is already on it and that his people are already talking with Victor’s wife,” RMD wrote.

A GoFundMe account was created by Nollywood actor Gbenro Ajibade on Sunday, December to raise $50,000 for Olaotan’s treatment.

Checks show that $10,873 had been donated by Wednesday morning.

Filmmaker Mahmood Ali-Balogun told members of a Nollywood WhatsApp group named Film4Life on Monday that Olaotan needed $70,000 to get medical help overseas

“Spoke with the wife, $50k for main hospital bill and $20k for necessary sundry support. A total of about $70,000 is required,” Ali-Balogun said.

Olaotan is popular for his lead role as Fred Ade Williams in the widely watched soap opera Tinsel.
