Hilda Baci’s certification our best-performing tweet of all time – GWR
Guinness World Record has declared its tweet announcing Nigerian chef, Hilda Effiong Bassey aka Hilda Baci as its ‘best-performing tweet of all time’.
GWR stated this on Thursday via its official Twitter handle noting the tweet which accompanied a video of Hilda Baci’s cooking marathon and her certification as the record breaker for the longest cooking marathon by an individual, with a time of 93 hours 11 has in itself broken another record.
It wrote: “Yeah, so this is our best-performing tweet of all time with nearly 25 million news feeds reached.”
After a thorough review of all the evidence, Guinness World Records on Tuesday confirmed Hilda Baci has officially broken the record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual, with a time of 93 hours 11 minutes surpassing the previous holder, Lata Tondon, an Indian-based chef whose cooking marathon lasted for 87 hours, 45 minutes in 2019.
The 26-year-old Akwa-Ibom chef cooked over 100 pots of food during her four-day kitchen stint.

Hilda attempted to set a record of 100 hours, however, almost seven hours were deducted from her final total because she mistakenly took extra minutes for one of her rest breaks early on in the attempt.
Hilda attempted this record to “put Nigerian cuisine on the map” and “to inspire young African women to chase their dreams.”
Hilda Baci’s record attempt took the world of social media by storm, with millions in Nigeria and beyond following her progress via an Instagram live stream.
Her cook-a-thon was in fact so popular that the Guinness World Record website crashed for two days due to the immense volume of traffic they received from her legion of loyal fans.
Several high-profile figures visited Hilda to support her during her record attempt, such as the Lagos State, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu; award-winning singer Tiwa Savage, Senate president, Godswill Akpabio and so many others.
Former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo also spoke, encouraging Hilda via a phone call during the exercise.
