Football Pundit and former Arsenal striker, Thierry Henry has criticised his former team for the way they have so far handled their emotions towards the business end of the English Premier League (EPL) season.

The Gunners legend also said the English league leaders will lose the title to reigning champions, Manchester City if they fail to put their emotions in check.

Arsenal have dropped four points out of a possible 6 in their last two EPL fixtures against Liverpool and West Ham.

Both matches ended 2-2 at Anfield and London Stadium, even though Mikel Arteta’s men took a commanding two-goal lead on both occasions and were completely dominant until they conceded.

Arsenal are currently 4 points ahead of Manchester City, who they will face next Wednesday at the Etihad, though the Citizens have a game in hand.

A draw or win for the north London side in the away fixture will put them in the driving seat, but a loss means if Pep Gladiola’s men win their remaining matches, they will clinch the title for the 5th time in six seasons.

Speaking to CBS Sports on the chances of his old team lifting the EPL title after 19 years, Henry said Arsenal must start managing their emotions better.

He said: “My problem with them is the emotions of the team.

“You can feel it, but don’t become it,”

The Gunners will be hoping to bounce back from their last two disappointing draws when they host relegation-threatened Southampton at the Emirates Stadium on Friday night.

Man City, on the other hand, will not be in premier league action until they face Arsenal next Wednesday, as they have an FA Cup semi-final commitment this weekend.
