Pundit and former Arsenal striker, Thierry Henry, has identified Paris Saint-Germain forward, Kylian Mbappe as the player to take over from Argentina captain Lionel Messi and Portuguese star, Cristiano Ronaldo.
The golden boot winner at the Qatar World Cup became the record goalscorer in PSG’s history over the weekend with his 92nd-minute strike against Nantes.
Mbappe in the encounter scored his 201st goal for the French giant, leapfrogging Edinson Cavani to become the record goalscorer for the club, while also helping them clinch a 4-2 French Ligue 1 win against Nantes.

Speaking about the French striker’s performance after the match, Arsenal legend, Thierry Henry told Le10 Sport that Mbappe is the player who will take over from Messi and Ronaldo.
He went on to say that he labelled him the ” heir”, saying he sees him as the one to carry on the legacies of the two soccer maestros.
He said: “When you look at the two bosses before him, Ronaldo and Messi, it is the same thing.
“That is why I called him [Mbappe] the heir because he is the one who comes after, for me and that is clear.”
