The entire staff and management of Heartland FC of Owerri has expressed shock at news of the pioneer coach of Iwuayanwu Nationale FC, Willy Bazuaye which occurred n Benin yesterday.
General Manager, Prince Okechukwu Ibe in a statement released in Owerri, said Heartland have lost a great colleague, partner and friend following the death of Bazuaye.
“He was part and parcel of the history of this great club. He was a good coach, a brother and friend when he held sway as the head coach of our dear team, iwuanyanwu Nationale (now Heartland FC). Team Manager, Promise Nwachukwu said the club will miss a father and football counselor.
The team according to the General Manager, Okechukwu Ibe would observe a mourning period in honour of the late coach.
Ibe wished Bazuaye’s soul to rest in peace while praying for God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
