Oyo-Ita replaces Mr Danladi Kifasi, who has been ordered to proceed on three months’ terminal leave from October 1, since he is due to retire on January, 1, next year when he turns 60.
She is expected to take over from Kifasi today.
Oyo-Ita was born in Adiabo, Odukpani Local Government Area, Cross Rivers State, in April 1964.
She graduated from University of Lagos in 1984 with B.Sc (Accounting) and holds a Masters degree from Nasarawa State University.
She was previously Director, Finance and Accounts at the office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).
Before her appointment as the Permanent Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology in April 2014, Oyo-Ita was Permanent Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Special Duties and Inter-governmental Affairs.
