Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) President, Ibrahim Gusau has praised the Flying Eagles after their semi-final win over Niger Republic.
The holders after defeating Cote d’Ivoire at the quarter final of the competition, comfortably defeated the Young Mena of Niger 3-1 on Sunday night.
With the win, they have now secured a berth in the final of the WAFU B U-20 Championship where they will face arch rivals, Ghana.
Apart from booking a spot in the final of the he championship, they also guaranteed a place at the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations, which will take place in South Africa early next year.

Speaking with thenff.com after the win, Gusau hailed the team and acknowledged that they kept improving as the tournament progressed.
He went on to tell the lads and their technical crew that they have what it takes to win the championship again when they tackle Ghana in the final on Wednesday.
He said, “I commend the fighting spirit of the Flying Eagles in reaching the final of the WAFU B U20 Championship and in the process, winning a slot at the 2025 Africa U20 Cup of Nations.
“I watched their first match against Burkina Faso (which they lost 0-1) but the team has continued to improve with every match since then.
“The NFF is delighted with their performance. We believe they have what it takes to go all the way and successfully defend their title against the Ghanaians in Wednesday’s final.”
