The Old Boys Association of Government Secondary School (GSS), Ilorin in Kwara State has commended Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for the feats his administration recorded on its first year in office.
The association, in a statement signed by its national president, Engr Suleiman Alapansanpa, said that within the space of one year in office, the Abdulrazaq’s administration had made significant impact, particularly in the areas of road infrastructure, human capital development and education.
The body said that renovation of some public schools in the three senatorial districts of Kwara State will create a conducive learning atmosphere that would help students to excel in their academic pursuit.
The association which expressed delight over the renovation works on the schools said the effort of the government was capable of restoring the state’s lost glory in the education sector.
The GSS old boys appealed to the Governor to come to their aid in efforts to rehabilitate the decaying infrastructures in their alma mater, a pre-independence high school that has produced notables in political, social and economic circles in the state and the country at large.
The association thanked the Governor for appointing some of its members to serve in his cabinet and assured him its cooperation for the development of the state.
