The Ndigbo Cultural Society of Nigeria (NCSN) have counsel the few electorate considering the option of voting Rtd. General Muhammadu Buhari in the upcoming presidential election, to note that the government of democracy is not for the stack inexperienced and semi-illiterates.
In a statement signed by the group’s president, Chief Udo Udeogaranya, “Buhari is totally inexperienced about governance in a democratic dispensation. He never had any experience on democratic governance, when compared to President Goodluck Jonathan that has an awesome experience of governance in democracy from being Deputy Governor, Governor, Vice President, Interim President, and President for about sixteen years, making him the most experienced democrat of all times in the history of Nigeria.”
“Those who think that governance in democracy is the same thing as military dictatorship should consult with the members of the House of Assembly, where a sound policy can be delayed for years due to details of implementation, where as such policy, under military dictatorship decrees, will fly in minutes. This is the sole reason why Buhari has remained dump to the details of his programmes and policies and he is totally unfit to run Nigeria as a democratic president, and perhaps his reason of running for presidency could be to seek revenge on those that jailed him or actualisation of a Sharia state, but Nigeria is too important to Nigerians and to the world for such petty projects.
The group then urge all who have the interest of Nigeria at heart to desert Buhari candidature urgently as many leaders from his party has since left him on his boat to nowhere.
“Nigeria today needs a president that his victory at the poll will keep the country stable, a president that understands democracy and is willing and well experienced to allow it flourish, a president that is not just a full blooded civilian but demonstrates civility in all he does and this Ndigbo Cultural Society of Nigeria (NCSN) attests on behalf of President Goodluck Jonathan.”
