Gospel singer, Osinachi, buried in Abia

The remains of popular gospel singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu, have been laid to rest in her hometown, Isuochi Umunneochi in Abia State.

Osinachi’s interment came more than two months after her demise. She died on April 8, 2022 in Abuja.

The singer’s body was earlier received in Amakpoke Umuaku community, Abia State around 12.00 pm.

Prior to the final internment on Saturday, a night of worship was held in Abuja on Thursday, June 23 while a Night of Prayer was also held in Isuochi, Umunneochi on Thursday, June 24.

The Ekwueme crooner was alleged to have been a victim of domestic violence prior to her death.

The death of the popularly gospel singer, Osinachi, was linked acts of domestic violence by her husband, Peter Nwachukwu, for which he is standing trial before a Federal Capital Territory High Court.

Nwachukwu had denied subjecting the late singer to domestic violence.

He claimed she died of lung cancer.

Despite his claims, the court remanded him in Kuje Correctional Facility in Abuja.
