Barely 48 hours to the opening ceremony of the 7th National Youth Games, three Northern states, Gombe, Kano, Yobe state contingents are happy for having a befitting accommodation in Asaba.
When TheNiche visited their camp at the Anglican Church school premises, the Athletes were busy playing and cracking Jokes among themselves.
On enquiry, Gombe State AthIetics Academy Technical director Prince Simon Ayuba told TheNiche of how lucky they are in getting quartered very close to the Stadium in a serene environment with zero noise.
Accordingly, he said Gombe AthIetes shared the same environment with other northern states contingents and we’
are happy for organizers administrative brilliance.
Other States across the Federation also got the best of accommodation, but not close to the action(Stadium) venue.
Meanwhile, Plans are in top gear for a hitch free Youth Games opener on Saturday as the Stephen international stadium has taken ceremonial shape with decorative banners mounted at strategic points ahead of the opening ceremony
