Ghana’s President Nana Akufo-Addo has arrived in Nigeria on a brief state visit with President Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja.
The Ghanaian President was received on Tuesday at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport by a delegation led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Geoffrey Onyeama.
President Akufo-Addo was accorded the courtesy of the Nigerian Guard of Honour, before he went into a closed door meeting with President Buhari, at the new Banquet Hall of the State House.
There has been no word concerning what the meeting is about, but Nigeria and Ghana share special bilateral relations.
While he was president-elect, Nana Akufo-Addo spoke about the need for stronger ties between the two countries, which he said was important for the growth of Africa.
