President Bola Tinubu’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, and the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, held a meeting with some ministers on Tuesday at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The meeting began around 5:30pm following protests in some states across the nation.
Others in the meeting were the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun; Ministers of Education, Tahir Mamman; Agriculture and Food Security, Abubakar Kyari; Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris.

Also present were the Minister of State for FCT, Mariya Mahmoud; Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Security, Aliyu Abdullahi; and governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Yemi Cardoso.
Tuesday’s gathering comes after angry youths and women took to the streets of Minna and Kano to protest what they described as the rising cost of living in the country.
In Niger, a group of women reportedly blocked the ever-busy Minna-Bida Road at the popular Kpakungu Roundabout and called on the Tinubu administration to address the problem of ‘hunger in the land.’
