Hafsat Ganduje, the wife of Kano State governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, has regained her freedom after her son, Abdulazeez Ganduje, ensured her arrest over the allegation that she cornered the money of a contractor without fulfilling her end of the bargain.
According to a Premium Times report, the young Ganduje had complained to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), that he served as a conduit in passing money for a contractor to his mother for some land his mother was supposed to help the contractor secure. But when it turns out that the said land was allocated to someone else, he asked his mother to return the money which he said she refused.
According to a Kano based online newspaper, Nigerian Tracker, Mrs Ganduje has since been released and returned to the Kano Government House.
