Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje, has returned his media aide, Salihu Tanko-Yakasai, popilarly known by his twitter handle name @dawisu, back to his post after 18 days suspension for criticising President Muhammadu Buhari’s handling of the #EndSARS protest.

Announcing his reinstatement in a tweet, @dawisu said: “I wish to thank each and every one that reached out to me, or sent messages of goodwill over my reinstatement as Special Adviser Media to H.E @GovUmarGanduje, after my 2wks suspension.  I am grateful to you all for your support and prayers. Thank you so much. #ZeroTension.”

@dawisu, a staunch supporter of President Muhammadu Buhari, made a comment on twitter directed against Buhari for keeping mute during the #EndSARS protest.

He said: ”To speak to your own people over issues that are bedevilling them has become something like a favour you’re doing to them. Over and over again, you cannot spare 5 minutes and address the nation to calm them down, the same people you went to the 36 states to beg for their votes, its heartbreaking.”

Although @dawisu did not mention Buhari’s name in the tweet, the context clearly shows he was referring to the president.
