The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Abdullahi Ganduje, recently received former Nigerian President, Goodluck Jonathan in Abuja.
Disclosing this on its official X handle (formerly Twitter) the APC stated that the Peoples Democratic Party chieftain visited Ganduje at his residence in Abuja on Thursday evening.
Speaking via its social media page, the ruling party tweeted: “The National Chairman, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, received in audience former President Goodluck Jonathan @GEJonathan at his residence in Abuja.”

Details of the visit by the former president to the APC chairman were not made public by the party in power.
However, after the pictures posted the APC made the rounds on social media, it elicited mixed reactions among supporters of both parties and other netizens without political allegiance.
While some of the Nigerians who commented in the comment section of the now-viral post suspected that President Goodluck Jonathan’s visit to the APC national chairman’s home, might be a prelude to his decamping from PDP to APC.
Others saw nothing wrong in the move, arguing that being an elder statesman, the former president is at liberty to visit any political party of his choice despite his political affiliation.
