Funsho Adeolu berates Nollywood actors joining politics

Funsho Adeolu chastised his colleagues while featuring on the latest episode of the Deep Drive podcast hosted by comedian, Teju Babyface

Nollywood actor, Funsho Adeolu has questioned the professionalism of actors who venture into politics, saying they were never actors.

He made this known while featuring on the latest episode of the Deep Drive podcast hosted by comedian, Teju Babyface.

According to the 54-year-old, actors should not join politics under any circumstances.

He added that thespians who truly care about their career, should not mix acting with politics, arguing that those who do so are not true actors.

Speaking during the interview, Funsho Adeolu said, “A lot of these people are not actors. An actor shall not be a politician.”

The host, Teju inferred, “I know one who is a politician in Lagos, are you saying he is not an actor?”

Responding Adeolu answered, “Yes. I don’t consider him as an actor. An actor should not be in politics. If you’re an actor who is in politics you were never an actor.”

After the clip of the podcast found its way to social media, it elicited a lot of comments, as netizens try to identify the actor they were talking about.

A lot of those who commented suggested Adeolu and Teju were discussing about Lagos State House of Assembly member, Desmond Elliott.
