Funke Akindele paid my son’s N1m hospital bill, says Bimbo Success

Bimbo Success, Nollywood actress took to Instagram to share how her colleague Funke Akindele, came to her rescue when her son was sick

Nollywood actress Bimbo Success has narrated how her colleague, Funke Akindele paid the sum of N1 million being the hospital bill one of her twins incurred, and how she went the extra mile to cloth and feed her. 

The actress in a lengthy narration on her Instagram page recounted how Funke advised her to take her son to see a doctor after she heard him coughing. 

Bimbo Success went on to say the veteran actress insisted she should visit another hospital in Lekki despite telling her that she had just returned from a health facility that day.

She also said when Funke found out that she couldn’t go out again because it was late, she kept checking on her all through the night.  

Bimbo wrote: “I told her I just came back from the hospital not quite long but she said I should bring him to the hospital at lekki that night around 12:30 am, I told her it was too late that we will come tomorrow. She could not sleep that night. She called me more than 6 times.” 

The mother of a set of twins went on to recount how Akindele spoke with the doctors and told them to offer all the needed medical care to her ailing boy. 

She also added that she footed the hospital bill of N1 million and has been checking on the little man ever since. 

“After they discharged us they gave us the bill, it was huge, 1million and the doctor told me immediately that it has been cleared by Mrs Funke Akindele, I was surprised and I called her and told her that what have I done to deserve all this from you,”  she added 

She later said she knows the creator of the television series, “Jenifa’ does not approve of her decision to go public with what transpired between them, but she had to show appreciation for her gesture and kindness. 

Bimbo, a talented actress is one of the daughters of late Adebayo Success, one of the founders of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW).
