Fulham beat Preston End at the Craven Cottage to gain automatic promotion from the Championship back into the Premier League ahead of the 2022/2023 season.
The home side with 86 points on board can no longer be caught by third-placed Huddersfield Town even if they win their remaining matches, meaning they have secured one of the two automatic qualifying spots with 4 games to go.
Aleksander Mitrovic opened the scoring in the 9th minute, and Fabio Carvalho doubled their advantage in the 34th minute before the Bulgarian scored his brace in the 41st minute, to end the game 3-0 in favour of the home side.

The win earned the Cottagers an immediate and well-deserved promotion back into the top flight for the third time in five seasons, with their last relegation occurring just a season ago.
Marco Silva’s side missed the chance to secure their top-flight return on Good Friday as they lost 2-1 away at Derby, but they bounced back in style to earn promotion with an emphatic win.
Fulham can all but guarantee the Championship title, their first since 2000-01 if they beat their closest rival Bournemouth on Saturday.
