Fuji T’O Bam brings out Mailaka, Atawewe

Two of Nigeria’s popular fuji musicians, Malaika and Atawewe, thrilled to no end while performing at the quarter-final of the on-going Fuji T’O Bam competition. Aimed at galvanising creativity and celebrating consumers of Goldberg beer, the event took place at the Elite Club, Ilesha, Osun State.

Sulaiman Olaleye (a.k.a Atawewe)

After a keenly-contested session, Sunday Olayiwola (aka Temitope Ajani Oluaye Fuji) and Olajide Akanni ‘Banana’ from Akure qualified, while Smally Fuji made it from Ilesha, and Buki Omoyajowo emerged from Ado-Ekiti. Ejire Performer and Okiki Wasiu, both from Osogbo, and Adisa Muyideen and Twinzobia Twins from Ibadan clinched semi-final slots.

Goldberg Ambassador and winner of last year’s edition, Nurudeen Atanda (Antenna), performed to the delight of the audience.

The stage is now set for another show-stopping contest, as these eight qualifiers will continue their quest for N1.5 million cash as Fuji to Bam semi-finals moves to Ondo State.

Apart from the qualifying series, some lucky consumers of Goldberg won prizes at the event.

Delighted Marketing Director, Nigerian Breweries Plc, Walter Drenth, during the course of the auditions, expressed satisfaction over the huge turnout of fuji lovers and artistes.
