Former Imo deputy gov, Eze Madumere, loses mum

Ugoeze Madumere, mother of the former Deputy Governor of Imo State, Eze Madumere, has died.
Mrs Madumere died at age 83, according to an announcement by the royal family of Eze Henry Madumere, JP of Achi, Ezi-Mbieri, Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo State.
She died on a visit to the hospital for her regular medical check-up.
A press release on Sunday by the palace’s secretary Vincent Oparaji said she died “few days ago, on a visit to the hospital for her regular medical check up, she suffered a relapse and could not be revived.”

“We humbly request you to kindly remember the Madumere Royal family in prayers for the peaceful repose of the soul of our dear mother.
“Ugoeze Marlinda Chikanele Ulunma was the Matriarch and Ugoeze of HRH Eze Henry Anoruo Madumere JP, the Traditional Ruler of Ezi-Mbieri Ancient Kingdom,” the statement added.
Oparaji said the arrangements and details of her burial would be announced in due course.
