The immediate past Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, visited President Bola Tinunu on Tuesday at the State House, Abuja.

Adamu arrived at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa at about 1:30 pm.

He was then taken into the president’s office for the closed-door meeting.

The purpose of the meeting was not immediately clear.

Adamu was in charge of the education ministry as of 2022 when the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) went on an eight-month strike.

The union demanded payment of their outstanding allowances. They also wanted the discontinuance of the controversial payment platform called Integrated Payroll and Personnel information system (IPPIS) introduced by the Buhari administration among others.
