Food and travel cost N33.88b in 7 years

Food and travel costs in the Villa rack up an average N4.84 billion yearly and will total N33.88 billion in seven years from 2016 to 2022, with food munching  N4.94 billion and travel stretching N28.94 billion in air miles.

Budgets between 2016 and 2022 show allocations for food to include foodstuff/catering materials, refreshment and meals, and cooking gas/fuel. Travel allocations include local and international trips, per reporting by The PUNCH.

Muhammadu Buhari’s junket to Istanbul on Thursday is the ninth in the past three months alone.

  • 2017 – N3.11 billion
  • 2018 – N3.81 billion
  • 2019 – N3.39 billion
  • 2020 – N7.46 billion
  • 2021 – N6.07 billion
  • 2022 – N6.77 billion
