Manchester United captain, Bruno Fernandes has admitted that lack of goals from him and his teammates might have cost his former manager, Erik ten Hag his job.
He made this known while speaking after Man United were held to a 1-1 draw by Chelsea at Old Trafford on Sunday evening.
Management of the Manchester club sacked Ten Hag a day after the team lost 2-1 to London club, West Ham.
They then appointed Ruben Amorim as their next substantive coach, but former striker, Ruud van Nistelrooy is in interim charge.

Fernandes scored his first goal of the season in the 5-2 win over Leicester City in the Carabao Cup in midweek.
The Portugal midfielder also got his first goal in the league on Sunday, as the Red Devils drew 1-1 with Chelsea.
While discussing the encounter, Fernandes said despite giving his all in matches, he feels he and his teammates let Ten Hag down.
He said, “I always gave 100% and Erik ten Hag is aware of that. I spoke to ten Hag and apologised to him. I was disappointed he had gone and I tried to help him.
“I wasn’t scoring goals. We are not scoring goals and I feel responsible.”
