Ex-Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand, has singled out Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah for praise despite the Reds’ Premier League 4-1 defeat to Manchester City on Saturday.
Salah gave Liverpool the lead in the 17th minute after being set up by Diogo Jota.
Man City, however, produced a devastating performance to come back from a goal down to beat Liverpool 4-1 in the match played at the Etihad Stadium.
Ferdinand, while analysing the encounter, described the Egyptian as a ‘world-class’ player after he scored Liverpool’s only goal of the match.

Speaking about Salah, Ferdinand said on BT Sport (via The Boot Room): “This, just wow. Absolutely world-class. Nonchalant finishing.
“I will have to interview him more often if he’s going to produce finishing like that!”
The loss away from home left Liverpool sixth on the Premier League table and their next league games are against 11th-placed Chelsea and the league leaders, Arsenal.
Man City, on the other hand, briefly cut the gap between them and the Gunners to 5 points after the match, although Arsenal regained an 8 points lead after beating Leeds United 4-1 in the subsequent game at the Emirates Stadium.
