The Chief Coach of Farmers Best Friend (FBF) FC of Enugu, Frank Kalu, has assured its fans of the club’s determination to win the ongoing Federation Cup competition in Enugu State.
Kalu told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Enugu on Wednesday that the players were determined to take the 2013/2014 competition by storm.
FBF on Tuesday beat Crime Busters Football Club 3-0 in one of the quarter-final matches of the competition.
“I know that we are going to beat Crime Busters. Besides, we have been doing it and are well prepared for it.
“Honestly, everything works well the way we planned it and I pray it continues this way till we actualise our dream which is to lift the trophy,” Kalu said.
Also, the Technical Adviser of the club, Eric Awurum, re-assured the fans of the team’s readiness to win the cup.
“We are going to take each game the way it comes. As for the quarter-final victory over Crime Busters, it is now a story. In fact I saw it coming.
“Majority of the players of Crime Busters passed through this team so I know their team in and out, therefore the game against them did not give me a headache for once.
“Once the players play to our instructions, heaven will be their limit in this year’s Federation Cup and beyond,” Awurum said.
He said the secret behind the victory over Crime Busters was team work.
“We overcame them so easily because we played as a team while they played as individuals without coordination,” he said.
