Although the movie, Fatal Arrogance, is not yet out, Nollywood Actor, Pete Edochie, says there is a threat to his life for playing the role of Ibrahim El-zakzaky in a movie that portrays the Shiite sect as a deadly terrorist outfit.

Fatal Arrogance is not yet out, but images of its production shows Edochie dressed in the kind of attire the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) leader, Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, usually wears – a green muffler on black flowing robe, with some touch of white.

Edochie is also bearded like El-zakzay, which makes it easier for make-up artist to portraying him as the IMN leader.

According to a report earlier published by an online newspaper, Sahara Reporters, Fatal Arrogance was allegedly bankrolled by the Nigerian Army as a revisionist attempt to rewrite the incident of December 2015 in which the military was accused of killing more than 300 members of the IMN.

But Edochie said the grievances against him were misplaced because he is an actor, playing a role which he was paid to play.

He said he is also not the producer of Fatal Arrogance, but Kingsley Anosike, and cannot therefore be held responsible for the movie.

He also explained that the name of the character he played is Alhaji Shasha Kurungu who is a fictitious character and not Alhaji Ibrahim El-Zakzaky.

But the name of the character could as well be an issue because the combination of the names Shasha Kurungu in Hausa describes a sneaky animal.
