Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has appealed to Christians not to be afraid of an Islamisation plot as being alleged in the Muslim-Muslim ticket of the All Progressive Congress (APC).
Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Presidential flag-bearer of the ruling APC had unveiled the former Borno state governor, Kashim Shettima, a northern Muslim, in an elaborate event, weeks ago as his running mate. The event was greeted by much criticisms, especially from the Christian southerners and northern APC Christian leaders, led by former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal and a former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Right Honourable Yakubu Dogara.
In the past, Fani-Kayode, who defected to the ruling party form the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), had been an opponent of Muslim-Muslim ticket.
But in a social media post, Fani-Kayode, justifies the Muslim-Muslim ticket by citing examples of how Christian politicians dominated Southwest Nigeria and the Judiciary arm of the Nigerian government.
