Fani-Kayode alleges CIA killed Abacha, Abiola

A former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has alleged that the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), killed both former head of state, General Sani Abacha and winner of the June 12, 1993 presidential election, Moshood Kashimawo Olawale (MKO) Abiola.

Fani-Kayode said in a tweet that Abacha was killed by a deadly poison delivered into his body through a handshake by a bodyguard of the late Palestinian Leader, Yasser Arafat, who was an agent of the CIA.

Abacha died the night after receiving the Pasetinian leader, Arafat, who was enroute to another country.

There was no autopsy to determine the cause of death.

Exactly one month after Abacha’s death, Abiola also died. An independent autopsy was carried out which shows he died of heart failure.

But Fani-Kayode alleges they were killed.

He said: “Gen. Sani Abacha was killed by one of late Yasser Ararat’s bodyguards. He administered poison to him through a handshake. This was done at the behest of the CIA. Two former Nigerian Heads of State & a former Head of Military Intelligence who are also CIA agents knew about the plan.

“The same people decided that MKO Abiola had to be killed as well in order to balance the equation. The CIA, through Susan Rice & Ambasador Pickering, did the rest. Nigerians pls know your history and find out the truth. Stop accepting the lies that are fed to you and stop brushing evil under the carpet. Neither Abacha nor Abiola deserved to be murdered even if we did not all agree with either or both of them. The CIA has no friends & there is nothing more despicable than working for a foreign intelligence agency against ur own people & nation.”
