Famous Kannywood director, Aminu Bono is dead

Bono collapsed on Monday evening and was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead

Kannywood movie director and actor, Aminu Surajo Bono, has passed away.

His demise was confirmed via an Instagram post on Monday night by popular actor, Ali Nuhu,

Sharing his picture, he wrote: “May God have mercy on Aminu S Bono and make paradise your final abode.”

TheNiche gathered that Bono collapsed on Monday evening and was rushed to the hospital where the doctors pronounced him dead.

Another colleague, Babangida Bangis, while paying tributes to the late Bono said the actor died on Monday evening.

He went on to confirm that the filmmaker “collapsed” and was taken to the hospital where the doctors confirmed his death

Bangis also said the deceased who was not sick prior to his demise will be buried on Tuesday according to Muslim rites.

“He was not sick. In fact, we were supposed to meet earlier today,” he said.

“After we spoke on the phone, I was later told that he collapsed and was rushed to the hospital.

“He was confirmed dead by doctors at the hospital,” he said.

Bono was nominated for several awards during his lifetime, he was also a famous movie director in the film industry in northern Nigeria

He produced several movies including ‘Manyan Mata’, ‘Dan Gwamna’, ‘Nasamo Me Kahina’, ‘Alaqa’ and ‘Daukaka’.
