Falconets star, Chinyere Kalu joins Real Betis

Chinyere Kalu, prior to this, had stints with Martins White Dove FC, Osun Babes FC, Rivers Angels FC and Nasarawa Amazons FC

Falconets midfielder, Chinyere Kalu has joined Spanish club, Real Betis Balompie.

The 19-year-old put pen to paper on a two-year contract which is expected to expire in 2026.

With the development, she followed the footsteps of Super Falcons stars, Roosa Ariyo and Rinsola Babajide who previously played for the club.

Prior to joining the club, the youngster was a member of the Falconets squad at the 2022 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.

Before playing for Nigeria at the 2022 U20 Women’s World Cup, she was an U17 international.

Kalu also had stints with clubs in Nigeria, including Martins White Dove FC, Osun Babes FC, Rivers Angels FC and Nasarawa Amazons FC.

Founded thirteen years ago, Real Betis Féminas finished eleventh in the Liga F standings in the 2023-2024 season.

The Sevilla-based club are currently fifteenth in the 16-team table and travel to Granada in their next Liga F match on Saturday, October 19.
