Fabio Vieira came through the FC Porto youth system and has netted 10 goals in 75 games for the Portuguese club’s first team

Fabio Vieira has confirmed his departure from FC Porto to Premier League side Arsenal, promising to work hard and make a good impression at the Emirates.
The Portuguese midfielder made the comment while speaking in an interview with The Daily Mirror, after completing his move to the North London club.
Vieira becomes the Gunners’ second signing of the summer transfer window after securing the services of Brazilian forward Marquinhos from Sao Paulo.
FC Porto earlier confirmed the deal in a statement, where they asserted that the PL side would be paying an initial €35m (£29.9m) to land the player, with the figure potentially rising to €40m (£34.2m).

The 22-year-old scored 6 goals and made 14 assists in 27 games last season to help Porto lifts the Portuguese League trophy, he also made 2 assists in European competition, while also netting once in the Taca de Portugal.
Vieira, who said he was happy to move to the Premier League, also asserted that before the deal was sealed, he has always been a fan of the English league.
He went on to say the move was good for both clubs, before promising that he will do everything he can to improve Mikel Arteta’s young team next season.
He said, “I was always happy at Porto but this chance is important for any professional. I have always watched the Premier League on TV.
“Playing in the Premier League won’t be easy and I promise only to work, work, work.
“My agent worked on the deal between the two clubs and I accepted the deal because it was important for all parties.”
Vieira came through the FC Porto academy and has netted 10 goals in 75 games for the Portuguese club’s first team.
Although he is yet to appear for his country’s senior side, he has made 21 appearances for Portugal’s Under-21 side, scoring 13 goals in 21 games.
Fabio Vieira, after displaying his prowess at last year’s European Under-21 Championship, was voted the player of the tournament.
