Italian football manager, Fabio Capello, who once coached AS Roma has slammed the club’s owners, The Friedkin Group, for sacking Jose Mourinho.
TheNiche had earlier reported that the owners of the Serie A oufit parted way with the controversial Portuguese manager after close to three years.
Confirming his sack via a statement on the football club’s website on Tuesday, the Italian outfit wrote: “AS Roma can confirm that José Mourinho and his coaching staff will leave the club with immediate effect.
“We would like to thank José on behalf of all of us at AS Roma for his passion and efforts since his arrival at the club.”
The Giallorossi later announced it has replaced the former Chelsea boss with former AS Roma captain, Daniele De Rossi.

Reacting to the development, Fabio Capello said the owners of the club are only interested in making money and lacked “respect for those who work with them.”
Speaking to Sky Italia, he said: “As far as Mourinho is concerned, it seems to me that these American owners have a way of managing situations without respect for those who work with them. Let’s remember how Maldini was sent away by Milan, now Mourinho with the methods of him… In their parts there is no sensitivity, there is only business. I believe in something different, you need respect for those who work with you and certain things need to be communicated in other ways.
“I didn’t expect it… Above all, I didn’t expect it to be this way. Mourinho was treated in the least respectful way possible, it is a way of doing things that doesn’t convince me and that I don’t accept.”
He added, “It happened to me with Russia: I was going to the airport, they called me and told me that the relationship was over.”
