Social media influencer, Japhet Omojuwa, has denied that he used the name of former education minister, Oby Ezekwesili as board member of his company without her consent.

Ezekwesili had accused Omojuwa of unauthorised use of her name to register his company, Alpha Reach, a public relations firm.

Ezekwesili later filed a complaint against Omojuwa through the law firm of Femi Falana, demanding full disclosure and public apology from the influencer over the alleged fraudulent use of her name as one of the directors of the company in question.

But Omojuwa fired back on April 14, saying Ezekwesili was bitter against him because he refused to be her pawn in her fight against Buhari whom he said she thought was going to make her a cabinet minister in his government.

He also detailed how they became acquainted, although failing to show any evidence that he obtained her approval to list her name as a director in his company.

“Our client has a ten-year relationship with your client when he had just completed the mandatory National Youth Service when he met your client who took him under her wings and even assisted in paying part of his rent in Abuja in 2012. The relationship began when our client visited your client’s house in Abuja in the company of Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, upon her request. Our client enjoyed a triangular relationship with your client and Mallam El-Rufai, whom your client used to refer to as her ‘brother.’ Both Mallam El-Rufai and your client were listed as directors of Alpha Reach Company Limited when it was registered in 2012, with their full consent.

“Likewise, our client recalls being seated at the suite of a respected man of God at the Transcorp Hilton in Abuja, trusting client with some very personal and painful stories. At a point, in our client’s life, your client was his most trusted person and confidant. Some people can attest to this fact, and they will, at the appropraite time and forum.”

Omojuwa also claimed that he has documentary evidence that Ezekwesili requested for favours from him for her two children, Chuba and Chine.

He said in the letter: “5 April, 2012 at 21:23, your clinet sent a message to our client stating as follows ‘Pull in your brother(s), Chine and Chuba (her biological children) into what you do from now.”
