Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria (ASCSN) yesterday closed down the secretariat to avoid a break down of order by expelling members
of the union at the national secretariat in Lagos.
The close down, according to the union in a statement signed by the secretary general, Alade Bashir Lawal titled; ‘ASCSN Expelled Members Besiege National Secretariat in Lagos’ said: “Following attempts to forcefully invade the national secretariat of Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria in Lagos yesterday, by expelled members of the Union including the former president, Bola-Audu Innocent, the Lagos State Police Command advised that the secretariat should be closed for business so as to avoid a breakdown of law and order.”

In this regard, the union said it wished to request its teeming members throughout the country to remain calm as the situation is under control.
