Remo Stars, on the other hand, ended up in the second position after edging past Bendel Insurance in their final Super Six playoff game.

However, dethroned champions, Rivers United ended the competition in third place and qualified for the CAF Confederation Cup.

Meanwhile, Enyimba head coach, Finidi George has attributed his team’s success at the 2023 Nigeria Premier League Super Six playoffs to hard work.

He said: “This achievement is a big reward for hard work for us.

“It’s a big thing for us to return back to the continental football, that’s where we belong.

“We won’t relent, we will continue to work hard to make an impact next season in the CAF Champions League.”
