Enyeama shares cryptic post on Eagles’ return, leaves fans confused

Former Super Eagles goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama, has left fans in limbo after dropping a cryptic post, hinting at a possible return to the team.

Taking to his social media page, the ex-Nigerian captain said he will be in camp with Nigeria’s players and staff ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

Enyeama in 2015 shocked fans of the Nigerian team when he announced his retirement after making over a 100 appearances.

In subsequent interviews, the 41-year-old claimed he left the team because he felt he was treated poorly and without respect.

The former Lille goalkeeper went on to claim he has stopped watching the Super Eagles’ matches.

However, his latest post suggests he could now be ready to rejoin the team ahead of their AFCON 2023 training camp in the UAE.

Responding to a post about the AFCON preparations of the team on the official Instagram account of the Super Eagles, Enyeama left a comment saying; “Let’s go, See you in camp. Time for business.”

After the post made the rounds online, Nigerians were left to pounder on if he was joining the team as a player, coach or an ex-international.
