Social critic and polician, Senator Dino Melaye, has lashed out at the Nigerian Senate for confirming the immediate past ex-service chiefs for ambassadorial appointment.
In his twitter handle, @Dino_Melaye, on Wednesday, the former lawmaker said that it was shameful for the senior chamber to clear them without scrutiny.
Wondering why the Senate could confirm those it recommended for sack, Melaye also described the Ninth Assembly as a department of Aso Rock and the Presidency.
His words: “Confirmation of service chief: Shame on the Senate who just confirmed that the Nigerian Senate is a department of Aso Rock and the Presidency. Confirming those you recommended for sack more than once for gross incompetence as Ambassadors is a SHAME. SDM”
Besides, he advised the Senate to use the same velocity and speed in confirming Buhari’s appointees to pass the Electoral Amendment Bill and other important legislation begging for urgent attention.
